Two consecutive hands at UltimateBet

Today has been a difficult day for numerous reasons that I will not attempt to explain. Within this difficulty, I had to teach a 75 minute lecture as well as oversee a two-hour laboratory session. All of this has made me mentally very very tired. So, afterwork, I decided to play two heads-up SNGs at Poker Stars (I now limit the number of these that I play... they're profitable in small doses) and I won both. I then decided to play a single table of 6-max hold'em at UltimateBet. I was not playing well and I was losing slightly despite having a VERY soft table. One guy was playing virtually every hand (e.g., he'd limp with 63o and the call a re-raise when it got back around to him!) and there were a couple of over-aggressive donkeys too. My brain was elsewhere (from the teaching), but I was racking up a ton of Ultimate points (i.e., trying to clear the bonus). I set myself a goal to get back to even when the following two hands happened. The first is an example of how soft my table was... well, the second one is also. I got lucky on the second hand, but both of my opponents played the hand TERRIBLY. Always, always, ALWAYS! bet into the raiser when you flop a good hand. As it turned out, I caught a three-outer on the river for a win, although I had a couple of more outs for a split. The net result is that I went from stuck $5 to a win of more than $20 in two hands. Nice!
