More losing
I had another session tonight where I was 4-6 tabling at up to four different sites. The net result was another loss. Here are the pertinent stats:
Poker Stars: 166 hands, won 5.5 big bets
Party Poker: 130 hands, won 10.75 big bets
Ultimate Bet: 153 hands, lost 10.45 big bets
Full Tilt Poker: 295 hands, lost 28.75 big bets
I don't know what happened at Full Tilt. I kept track of how many times tonight I got AA (won 4, lost 3), KK (won 5, lost 2), and QQ (won 3, lost 1). I am trying to find my leaks but I can't seem to find them. There is still the one about call raises on the turn with just top pair. I am getting better at that one. The other big leak that I think I have is how I deal with straight draws. In theory, if you have an open-ended straight draw, then you have 8 eights outs, which you should hit about 1 in 3 times with two cards to come. With rounding errors, I usually chase these draws if it looks like I have implied pot odds of 3:1. The problem here is that these 8 outs are often not true outs, such as when there is a flush draw too. Also, the chances of catching the straight are actually less than 1 in 3. It is that big of a difference, but casinos make tons of cash on small edges like this. So, I am going to try and be more careful about the straight draws that I chase.
