So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

One of my favorite books of all time is Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The book is amazingly creative in its humor and originality. Unfortunately, Adams decided to subsequently write four more books in the series, each of which was less original and less creative. For those of you who have not read Hitchhiker's Guide, it begins with the end of world (that's funny in itself, if you think about it). One of the many layers of humor in it, however, was the dolphins were intelligent aliens, who left just before Earth exploded, saying "So long, and thanks for all the fish".

Well, poker world: So long and thanks for all the fish! I've had a great time and I've even made some cash. I'd have to check my tax records to be sure, but I think I've made $10-$15K playing mostly low-stakes poker over the last three years. But right now, I have less than $50 (total) online and it's split among three different sites. Even worse, I have almost no way of maneuvering cash between sites, so I essentially have a bankroll to (maybe) play $0.05/$0.10 limit games. That's hardly exciting enough to write about, much less read about. In theory, I could re-deposit money online, but it's really not worth the effort to me. I have two kids now, and so I have better things to do with my time than to grind out 3 big bets per 100 hands.

Anyway, this is my last blog for the foreseeable future. I suppose that there is a chance that I will re-build my bankroll and re-start the blog, but I doubt. To everyone who has followed my blog, thanks a bunch. I wish you the best of luck!!!
